Pamps - Any runs with flat spots?

Hi all

Taking 5 beginners to Pamps 7th March and will want to avoid as many flat spotted runs as possible

We're all boarders so flat spots are a right pain, involving skating across 1 foot in binding or having to walk

As 5 of the group are beginners we'll be doing greens and blues, maybe the odd red.

Can anyone warm me in advance of how it'll be, what to avoid, what runs might be best etc

thanks for any help

Dave

Couple of places Dave - the run down to Smoylan lakes that goes past the button lift on the back blue has a fairly long flat bit and if they cannot get up good speed it's best to avoid it.

The other much shorter 'walkie' bit is less difficult to avoid as it is towards the final stretch of the green run home. Not too far though and most people just have a chat whilst making their way accross it.

Cool

cheers Pete!

Don't mind the odd flat its just when you find a run where you hit a flat spot, then you can board again for 100 metres, then have another flat spot and so on

Avoid run number 8 then, at least until later in the week

hopefully it'll carry on snowing all day, such a weird scenario, in Tignes we just had too much snow so visibility was bad and now i'm back and praying for the stuff to hit Pamps

Just the 2 that pete mentioned that I know of. But the green, if you get enough speed up and had a wax from the snowshack you'll clear most of the flat.

good stuff, I'll be telling the beginners to grow some balls and to go for it then

should be fine to get straight line speed, it'll be the linking of turns that'll take some time

I would avoid the Smolyan lakes run just because of the 2 man chair. It scares me!
