Minimum 5 hours, I've been told. Maybe as much as 6.
You can imagine how I am looking forward to finding out on Saturday night....NOT. Hoping to get into bed by 3am Sunday morning, if we're lucky.
However, having done the Pamps-Thessalonika journey last year because of fog at Plovdiv, it should be a much quicker return to Pamparovo than my last exit.
If it is 5 hours + and none of the big tour operators are using Plovdiv, this can't be good news for Pamps surely? Does anyone know why they've all pulled out?
Might it be simply the financial implications of it being so frequently affected by fog? The cost of a diversion to Sofia or Thessaloniki must be significant, so maybe this is a way of more accurately budgeting for a season.
