Well that's it my mate and I have just got back from Pamps yesterday (1 Boarder and 1 Skier) and I have to say that even though was up early every morning, and every day a differant part of me was in pain, it has to be one of the best holiday's in my life!
The snow was deep and soft (which is more than could be said about the beds) the weather was sunny and warm, met some cracking friends and I'm sad to be back The scenery is stunning, far nicer than the French resorts I've been to ...

If you like your Ski resorts to be organised and Teutonic then Bulgaria is not the place to be, however if you're prepared to try something a bit differant, and or just want good value for money then you'll love Bulgaria. Having been to Bulgaria before I knew what to expect with the food, don't expect anything fancy lots of plain hearty fair (The Bulgarians also don't belive it's healthy to eat food piping hot) Lots of meat dishes, stews and shopska salad (like a greek salad) but all perfectly edible and some of cakes are very moreish.
We had over half a metre of snow fall during the week we were there. As for the instruction my mate was well impressed with Ski school, however my Board tuition was not great to say the least. He was more of a piste guide than an instructor, and one day he was so hung over he cut the lesson short!
Do have lunch at the top of the TV tower (5 levs entrance fee. and a couple of levs more for the food than elsewhere on the mountain) The views are absolutely stunning ans on a clear day you seee for miles. The organised quiz night was a bit of a rip off though £7 for 1 drink and a handful of crisps not exactly value for money
Lot's of cheap in the evening and we were out on the town every night, singing and dancing the night away. Do be aware of the russian ladies in the oldest profession in the world they are quite aggresive selling techniques
Handy hint - take a pair of flip flops so you can use the hotel swimming pool's otherwise they will try and flog you a pair of hotel slippers.
