Pamps-Bansko-Borovets @ Xmas

Hi All,
I've skiied in Pamps for the last 3 years with a gang, usually end of feb and am planning to go back again in Feb 07. However, myself and the other half are also thinking about skiing for Xmas 23-30th Dec. Our instructor in Pamps always warned us not to go to Pamps for Xmas or New Year as he said it's far too busy.
Just wondering if Bansko or Borovets would be a better option or if these would also be too busy? Also does anyone know if the snow record is good for Xmas? I'll ...

Hi Ginger, all ski resorts are busy this time of year including the three you mention. Bansko has the best snow record but you will be queueing for the lifts each morning, as you would at the other resorts.

Hi Ginger, all ski resorts are busy this time of year including the three you mention. Bansko has the best snow record but you will be queueing for the lifts each morning, as you would at the other resorts.

You and me alike Ginger.I've been to Pamps about 15 times and always late Jan early Feb.
Like yourself we have booked for 2 weeks next year, but we've also booked the Mourgavets for Xmas this year.
Bit of a gamble, as it can be iffy early in the season but Pamps has never let me down yet so I'm trusting to my good luck.
And if all else fails --- well it's still Pamporovo hey

Thanks for the replies guys. From those pics, looks like there was a good snowfall in all 3 resorts last year.Yeah have to say I love Pamps, have had a fantastic time every time we've been, probably spent as much time in the Markoni bar and BJ's as on the slopes!
I wouldn't mind trying one of the other resorts though.. but I wonder if I'd be disappointed after Pamps...
PP - have you been to either of the other resorts & what did you think?

Not yet Ginger, but I will be in Bansko 27th Jan followed by a week in Pamps straight after.Everyone I had spoken to says Bansko is brilliant, so we'll see. If not, then I still have Pamps the following week so win win situation

The first year I went to Pamps I liked it so much I went another two times in the same season. Last year I fancied a change and went to Bansko at Xmas I loved it and returned twice again.I would like to go back to Pamps to see how it has changed but only for that reason. The skiing and the lift system in Bansko is far superior and the nightlife is more ???? natural.

Well I think I'm going to bite the bullet and book Bansko. Thanks for the help.I'll still have Pamps in Feb or Mar so it's not like I'm missing out!
