according to Metcheck the temperature will rise to 5 C by next Thursday. I will pray to the Frost God to get it back down to below zero for when I get there on Saturday the 19th
Dave , the more of us who give thanks the better, the wrath of the snow god knows no bounds for it is her (got to be a women) who decides the temperature of the air, the depth of the snow, the lightness of the powder and for some reason the price of a pint !!
Be aware that she hands over the control of the weather to the sun god a week after we are back in the UK, not so good for those going later....
She also decides which part of the anatomy will catch the emerging tree after turning the white stuff into a runny mess. I hope she will be kind to us and everyone else for 2 more weeks
I think we will be alright, the biggest problem is torrential rain, that will clear a mountain in no time at all. Rises in daytime temps aren`t normally a big problem
as it will freeze again overnight, yes a little bit of ice first thing low down but the mountain piste should be ok..
You got to expect some payback, we will be getting longer warmer days, always nice to ski in a bit of sunshine..
I am sure she will look down on the righteous and deem us worthy....
currently the forecast is for high pressure weather to move up into europe from africa
this will bring much warmer but drier air
temperatures on the BG mountains will be above zero during the day so there will be some melting, but the temps drop sharply overnight, so hopefully this will mean there is still enough snow for us (i also go on the 19th)
just back from pamps. weather sunny, skiing fantastic.Loads of snow, pistes well groomed. they have so much snow they have banked some up ready for freeze thaw. Have a great time. BJ's buzzing . wish we were still there!!!!!
