Enjoyed my week in Pamps as we got to ski, however we are learning so it suited us. its the compitent skiers i felt sorry for.
Listening to people moan constantly about lack of snow cannons do you think Pamps is behind many other resorts?? Why when its cold at night and the cannons can be used, why not work all night to get afew slopes open??
At the end of the day we are there to ski, not walk round lush green fields.
Because they're bone idol. I was asking the same question all week. They could have done a lot more but just did the bare minimum. And i was one of the experienced boarders, still made the most of it and had a good time.
Can't understand why people don't research places before they book. Take a step back and look at where you have booked..a resort with 4 Cannons. So if the winter is looking pants on the snow front you say to yourself.. boy this resort only has 4 cannons. Its going to be thin on the ground MAYBE WE SHOULD GO SOME WHERE WITH 75.
Its not like there were 50 cannons there and "THE BONE IDOL" only decided to use 4.
Yes I agree they need more but please do your homework.
We skied the Blue tbar ...

We skied the Blue tbar every day, with the ice it made it more fun and there was always snow in the mornings.
Just got back from pamps myself today. Few areas not too bad for learning to ski but overall rubbish. Would'nt be surprised if the slopes had to close completely, going to need a lot of snow to put things right now. The mountain is a dangerous place at the moment. Some very serious accidents on the green run and sadly a fatality. Only after that have they decided to shovel a bit of snow around the chairlift stations to stop all the pileups on the thick ice, and also bring in a bit of snow ...

Only after that have they decided to shovel a bit of snow around the chairlift stations to stop all the pileups on the thick ice, and also bring in a bit of snow from other areas on the mountain to fill in some of the gaps, too little too late. Would have to agree they just have'nt got the equipment. Normally at this time of year there would be 2 meters of snow and not 2 inch. This means you are skiing over patches of bare road, rocks and ice...asking for trouble.
i have done some homework we boarded there last year, there was plenty of snow and i didnt think this issue would be a problem. did u know there would be lack of snow last summer when i booked this holiday .. No !
