Hi
Has anyone any experience of the ski kindergarten? I am booked to go to Pamporovo in March with my son who will be 4, it will be his first time. What can I expect?
Will we have time to ski together before or after ski kindergarten? I have booked snow boarding lessons, but am taking my skis also as I'm far more competant on them. Are there lockers to leave skis/snowboard so I can swap over halfway through the day if I want to?
My son was 4 first trip out and I booked him 1-1 ski lessons he learnt loads and had a ball and we got to spend loads of time together as a result. I personally didn't like the look of kindergarten although they seem to do some fun bits with the kids like sledding, bumboarding and playing in snow but they don't do much skiing. With the 1-1 lessons his instructor made arrangements to meet with me and my group at lunchtime and they joined our group a couple of times and I went off with ...

My son is now 8 has skied black runs the last 2 trips and tried snowboarding .... I really recommend giving them an early start.
As for ski storage am sure interski near the ski school will do this for a small fee if the main ski school don't have anywhere available.
My son Jack has been to the kindergarten since he was 3, should have been 4 the 1st time but he is very forward and although I think they knew, they let him stay! They usually have a choice of skiing/sledging and mine being lazy always opted for sledging, plus at that age it is more fun. They use a room at the top of Malina depot and in the Mourgavetz. They have their own minibus and shuttle them up and down from resort for lunch. Ellie has been in charge for the last 3/4 yrs and although ...

Ellie has been in charge for the last 3/4 yrs and although she looks a bit stern Jack loved her and still goes for cuddles when he sees her on the mountain. You can ask them what time they will be down at Malina throughout the day and you can arrange to collect them at an agreed time. Advise to pack a couple of drinks and maybe packet of crisps/choc bar each day, as they do get lunch included but sometimes may not be of taste. Mine had such a good time there it was only when we coolected him that he learnt to ski but that was his choice whereas my nephew took every opportunity to ski so he could ski with his parents asap! They are very obliging so dont be scared to ask.
Yes we were very pleased with the kindergarten too. They only did around half an hour skiing - which was a large group and as there was only 1 teacher and kids are always falling over and struggle to get up - there was very little skiing actually done. We collected our daughter between 2 and 3 and we all went skiing together then.
