we will definetly be going to Pamps this year snow willing but are also looking at Finland for a second break. Anyone been we are Intermediate skiiers so any info would be great

To be honest it was a bit of a disappointment. You dont see any sun at all and apart from a few hours of dusklight in the morning its very dark all the time. It gives the place a surreal atmosphere that to be honest made me understand why they have such problems with depression etc in Finland.

The skiing is obviously gaurenteed but you are skiing on ice, its so cold there that any snow that does fall crystalises almost immediately, if thats the right expression. Whatever there is no powder. Max altitude was about 400 feet, you ski on hills not mountains so runs are quite short.
It was an experience we enjoyed, seeing the northern lights, wild reindeer and being inside the artic circle etc, but we wouldnt go back if we wanted just a skiing holiday.
Hope I've not put too much of a downer on the place,,
