Well here it is-a quick account of a fantastic holiday! Questions welcome!
Well the journey there was bit rubbish as we had a good 6 hours by bus to get to Gatwick-definitely go for closer airport next time. Although we were over 2 hours early, we had to queue for 9o mins for check in and then had a massive sprint to the gate-along with half the rest of the plane!!quite funny really! Flight good, food fine etc and arrived in time-warmer in Bulgaria than in Norfolk!! Funny little airport ...

Funny little airport (military) and had a longish wait through passport control but we didnt care-we had arrived! Found rep straight away and on coach-driver served us all beer!! Just what we needed!!!Bliss! Was dark so couldnt see scenery etc but journey was quick (90 mins) and comfortable. Great rep called Barney who had the funniest laugh-cross between Frank Spencer and Frank Bruno I think!! He was great throughout hol, really helpful and knowledgable. Last day we had fogotten to get lift pass deposits-so he paid us out his own dosh.
We arrived at Hotel just before midnight-they had dinner prepared for us!! Staff all great (throughout hol) but we really didnt fancy food that late after journey! Food was ok over holiday, buffet style- basic but nice. Had mad man singing to us every night-sure he lived there in the restaurant! He was funny and kept us entertained. One night there was some ceremony in restaurant-all in Bulgarian so quite bemused!
Anyway (I am having a proper ramble on now.....sorry!!) the next morning after brekkie, we were shown to buses, driven to slopes and got lift passes. We got our ski and boots fitted and wobbled back out in the snow. Why is it so hard to walk in those things?!! We were put into groups based on how many times we been skiing before, no more than 10 in a group. Our instructor "Ivor" was absolutely fantastic- he never once stopped smiling, even after heaving himself back up te slopes for the 100th time to pick someone up off the slope. He was led by us but tried to push us gently-some of us wimped out of a hard red run a few times! He did take us to different restaurants everyday- I also heard that means they get commission/free food etc but we were happy to try diff places. When we wanted to meet other groups, we let him know and that was fine. That reminds me!! The blooming bell men!! I dont want a flaming bell thankyou!! they tried to sell them everyday but the last day they got quite funny with us-they wanted us to buy a bell for 20 lev-we honestly only had 10 on us! But anyway, Ivor was great, was paralell quickly, didnt think would ever pick that up!
Ok I rambling, will cut down!!
Snow was great, snowed alot first few days, even too much as powercut one day. No prob though as found White Hart pub that day!! Agree with people that runs may get bit boring for advanced skiers, was just right for us though. Slopes were pretty quiet so good skiing overall.
Apres ski fantastic as expected, did some arranged activities like the quiz- WE WON!!UNIVERSALLY CHALLENGED ARE THE WINNERS!! and tried the Bulgarian night, bowling etc, snowboarding, but so much to do, so many bars etc-met some fantastic people and made some great friends.
Ok so overall:brill place, brill skiing, brill friends, brill apres ski, food ok, hotel fine- AMAZING holiday! On such a buzz from it all, anyone wanting to share in a- post -holiday- its- so -brill ramble let me know!!
