Have to agree with Pete about the tour companies, just returned from a fantastic trip - perfect snow, beautiful sunshine, no lift queues, rock bottom prices.
Was really weird to be there virtually on our own, with nearly all of the hotels and bars now closed for the season, they really need to look at revising the season to take account of the shift towards later snow.
Agree Joff, I was there a week before you and the snow matched anything I've seen at places like Whistler and Heavenly Lake Tahoe. Incredible boarding in a field of metre deep powder off the Stokitite runs with no one around. In a way it's great for us as we have the resort to ourselves, just head back to the chalet, get the fire going and hit the single malts but for those who want rock and roll in the evening it is lacking.
Thing is though the resort seems to be profitable and expanding ...

Thing is though the resort seems to be profitable and expanding - however theres more growth oportunities if they could open a couple of weeks later.
