re: Pamps

We were there in 2006, then returned in 2007. There was a lot of building work happening around the lower slopes - a huge complex was being built right at the side of the bottom green run. There were also a couple of new runs.
The queues for the gondolas were a lot longer than the previous year, but I think that was down to the lack of snow lower down - everyone was using the mid station gondola to go back to the top because you couldn't ski right down to the bottom.

So no, we didn't think Pamps had been spoiled - not yet anyway. We're returning in 2008 - presumably all those buildings will now be finished. Hopefully, someone will have had the good sense to realise that a big part of Pamps's attraction is its traditional, village-type atmosphere. It would be a real shame to see it being over-developed and turning into something else.

There is no stopping of developments in BG for the future.

It is going to take at least genetation to realise the mistakes and another one to correct them

re: Pamps

I agree with you Mikey re the over-development. But wasn't Spain in a similar state 10-15 years ago? High rise hotels popping up everywhere etc. The market is very much in its infancy and with money from the EU, the infrastructures will soon come, as will the demand to even out the supply. 5-10 years and the prices will have doubled at least.
