Pamps

The snow cover report on this site states that pamps only has 5 cm of snow, please tell me thats a mistake ??!!

Sorry to tell you but Pamporovo is really suffering at the moment.

Just received a text 10 minutes ago from a friend there. The text read........

Snow poor, very icy. Reds, blacks and back blue all closed. New run open, will try it after lunch.

Not good reading I'm afraid

Yes, I agree that it 'looks' good, but that's the information I received from someone that I trust and who is in the resort.

Just got back today, and the slopes do have snow, and yes it looks good (from a distance), but (and its a big but) get close and the snow is not deep and theres a lot of ice.

Just back too. One green, 1 blue and 2 red runs open in total. Very icy on green due to number of people on it. Lots of rocks etc coming through. Reds are the best as there are less people on them. It was snowing when we left on Sat so if that continues, it might get better. Snow cannons only used sparingly.

There are no red runs open in Pamps yet. A couple are skiable but none are prepared and there are stumps and all sorts poking through the snow. The instructors are not happy with the reds being skied as they are spoiling the snow which needs to be compressed to provide the base. - That was the word at lunchtime today 5th Jan.

So whats the situation now then ? My group is going out to pamporovo on the 10th, is there any significant snow forecast, or is this holiday gonna be just one massive drinking session ? lol
