Why ? You can do it on foot.

re: Paragliding in Bansko

Have any pilots ever taken their own gilders out to Bansko?
I did briefly consider taking mine when we went in January but couldn't really work out the landing options.
Having looked at the webcam footage again it doesn't seem quite as terrifying a landing as I'd first thought and am wondering whether it'd be worth the hassle of taking it with me next March.

oh and watch out for the learner drag life when you land, we saw two people get caught up in it!
they were OK though folks!

That's my worry - that and avoiding the trees and the people.Maybe not a good idea to take it with me then.

re: Paragliding in Bansko

the take off is fine but maybe better to land at town level somewhere (if you can find a space between the building sites) plenty of people were landing at the midstation about 90% didnt get caught in the drag lift
