Having worked out that not all schools have half term on the same week Manchester airport has put £100 surcharge on flights for the 18/19 Feb '06. You can dodge this by flying from smaller airports but you had better move quick as the flights from East Midlands and Humberside are already booked up.
We have battled with our consciences with it for the last couple of years. Needless to say thay skiing has won!

Anyway being selfish we booked anyway this weekend and hoprfully they will be with us.
Bill (self employed and can take holidays anytime, I just don't get paid - there's always a downside!!)
I looked into that when we were booking (humberside etc, flight supplements are £20 and mancs is £120!) but ended up booking from manchester just because I was remembering how absolutely knackered I was after the trip home this year...(too much fun on the saturday night!) I couldn't face an extra journey after landing, I only live ten minutes from manchester airport and that felt like an age!..
so laziness and apathy win all round - we're just paying the extra and forgetting about it!
