Hi Dar

I have been twice to Passo Tonale and really enjoyed it.I dont know what level skier you are but you should have enough to keep you occupied if you are advanced. If there are any beginers in your party then they will love it as out of all the places ive been skiing to this is one of the best for beginers. There are some decent runs on the south facing side of the valley but the north side has the glacier and a testing black back down under the gondola. You can also ski down to Ponte ...

You can also ski down to Ponte Di Legno the next town which has some great runs that are normally deserted. The village itself seems really quiete on a night but there are some late bars and a couple of discos. The madest place is the Umbrella bar at the bottom of the slopes, its one of the round tent type things. This is the place to go straight after skiing as they have happy hour at 4.30 ant it is absolutelly mad, everyones on the tables going bonkers to europop.
One last thing is because its a really high resort, its well above the tree line so it can have very cold and icy winds,so take your thermals !!There is a web site to go to that has a town map, piste info and also some webcams,it is www.adamelloski.com.Hope this info is some use to you,if you have any more questions just ask.Hope you enjoy the place as much as i do.

Many thanks Keef.
your report is great, i am feeling alot happier now. there is 3 of us going and we are all intermediate so it sounds like there will be plenty of runs to keep us busy. many thanks for the web site i will check that out. We are not having any ski school with this holiday as we just want to get up early and ski all day at our own pace. We always have ski school in Bulgaria so this is a nice change for us.
thanks for the wind warning, we have just bought some new base ...
