Pay as you go sim cards

Hi

Can anyone tell me if its better value to buy a sim out there and use it rather than using you own mobile for calls, and how long you get for your Lev.

Not long got back from US to a £130 bill so not too happy.

I'm with Vodaphone and is massively expensive so I use a Globul sim card - much cheaper.

There is a cheaper option - leave your phone at home Razz
It will then cost nothing and I'm sure you can manage without it for 1 week.

is it still possible to buy a local sim card in Boro? I know that you have to register them now, but wondering if this can be done at point of sale yet?

Thanks for the advice Pete.

I could definately do without it for a week but as wife is not coming with us and I am in sole control of our son she insists on regular updates that Im keeping me and him out of trouble.

Can she not log onto internet on here to see updates or emails?? What about skype??? There are places with wireless internet all over.

To ring back to Uk with BG sim is quite exspensive too. But at least you know what you are spending I guess.
