Sos - didn't post yesterday as was on a 24hour trip to London but delighted to be back as conditions here are perfect!!
At the top of the mountain (and down the bottom) it is beautiful blue skies and plenty of snow. All the mud outside the restaurants at the top has disappeared and there is just snow. You still need to be careful on the way down from the gondola as there are a few hidden rocks but at least you don't have to walk down in the mud anymore.

Morning All,
Sos - didn't post yesterday as was on a 24hour trip to London but delighted to be back as conditions here are perfect!!
Every run in the resort (including the rila blacks, the fon fon and the mussala path) are all open except markudjik 3, which hasn't been open all season and not sure if it will be. Also the races have finished now so there are no slopes closed due to this either.
At the moment it is still a bit icy due to the cold temps and the morning sun, however that was at 8.30 our time when we got the info, so this should improve later on.
Not sure what else to say except for anyone out here this week, you're getting the best of the season so far! It also means we can do the Mussala for the lock in tomoz rather than Yastrebets for a change!!
At last. we were there 1/2 term week and whilst it was OK this looks fantastic. I am coming back for a few days this weekend...cant wait. We arrive late Friday night. Kas see you in the White house for lunch on Sat.
Hope to make it up tomorrow - back permitting! Took the kids on the musala pathway wednesday pm and it took almost 2 hrs to get down so if we do the lock in then we need to leave in good time.
I think the 10th was some of the best conditions all week! Not too icy, not too powdery! Really great conditions! We left boro yesterday afternoon and it was warm - real warm (about 16 celcius I think) and things were melting quick down the bottom! Didn't have time to venture up top but hope it lasts for those heading out in the coming weeks!
