Stayed at the Malina village last week but would like to stay in one of the hotels next year, any comments, comparisons, good points bad points etc would be graetfully recieved as am going to book again SOOOOOOOOOON!
We met briefly last week at the posters meeting in BJ's bar. I stayed at the at the Murgavets with my family and we would definately stay there again. I'd consider the plus points to be its central location, great swimming pool, quiet at nights (i'd heard that the Perelik can be v noisy, reasonable food. I have stayed in both the Pamps and Murgavets and I think that the food is far superior in the Pamps.
The Murgavets however is better situated for the night life and shops. I found it to be friendlier than the Pamps and equally as comfortable. Therefore as I prefer nightlife to eating I would go to the Murgavets next time and eat out in the evenings. The BBQ restaurant was excellent as was the Red Sun Chinese. Those were the only 2 pamps restaurants that I used.
As for the ski bus we were at Ski Depot 1 and from the Murgavets found it impossible to get on a bus they either didn't turn up or were full before they got there. We asked taxis for a price and if they were 10 leva or more we walked. It is only about 8 - 10 minute walk and downhill so quite easy and enjoyable. By the way the cheapest taxi was 7 leva and the most expensive 12 Leva.
Stayed in Hotel Pamps but after a week managed to get a night at the perelik and a few hours at that one beside daks. Id say the pamps is the best for staying at and the others are all right to take the burdz back to- after all you dont want to pull a burd from the same hotel- imagine having to see them in the morning! Hope this helps
