Staying at the Lion in Feb. Good reviews off the people that have stayed there. So good I booked!

re: Perun or Lion Hotel Bansko

stayed in both with half board plus sides in my humble opinion:
Lion: great modern rooms I got a huge room, not sure if this was standard?
nice bar area, good atmosphere
food in bar nice (you have to pay extra for this)
staff a little friendlier

Perun
outdoor pool and jacuzzi
nice bar area, not as good an atmosphere in my opinion as lion
rooms ok
Breakfast & Dinner slightly better than Lion

both side by side so no difference in distance to slopes

I would be hard pushed to ...

I would be hard pushed to decide which was better, I liked both, the deciding factor for me would be any price difference!

re: Perun or Lion Hotel Bansko

We stayed in the Lion in Jan '06 when it opened and it was brilliant. We were so impressed we stayed in Jan this yr too!

The rooms are spacious and very clean. Great bathrooms - Big baths more to the point - just what you need after an energetic day on't slopes.

The food is all good - breakfast could do with a bit of variety but thats just being picky to be honest.

The staff are all very friendly and attentive.

I'd give it a good 9/10. And being a hotel manager, I should ...
