Phrase books

I've learnt a little Bulgarian since Ibooked my hol to Borovets, but Idon't think I've learnt enough. I know that they probably speak English there but Iwould like to give it a go.

Does anyone know if I can get a phrase book at Gatwick airport so I can learn it on the boaring flight?

I don't think I've seen one there, you may have to order one. The best one I've found is by published by hugo.

Hope this helps, although most do speak very good English but it's always nice to give Bulgarian a try for yourself.

Amy, it's very nice you want to learn a few words in Bulgarian. Almost everybody speaks English at the resort, but they will help you with some words in Bulgarian, if you show interest in it.
I can send you a list of useful words, which I found in a Guidebook.
Just tell me, if you want it.

Another solution is to print these few pages from the following website : http://www.travlang.com/languages/

Then you choose bulgarian language, and they will give you basics written in cyrillic and latin, even with sound samples. And you can re-use this website if you travel abroad because there are a lot of languages available.
