Hi Val, Well the bear. We waited all week to see one around Banff on our daily drives and had given up all hope. Then on our last trip out driving down to Radium hot springs we spotted one at the side of the road so pulled over but he/she was a litte bit far back. Then after driving for another 15 mins we spotted another!!! Wich is the one in the photo. We managed to pull up very close as he/she was just up the embankment no more the 20ft away!! Just munching away Louise would not get out ...

Ah right you were in the car then. When we were there they were still in hibernation. In fact the area where you go dog sledding up in the mountains behind Canmore is known to be bear country.re: Pictures
