Places to stay.

Hi all, me and my girlfriend stayed in the Rila hotel last year but we wernt very impressed with the food! But we like being directly at the bottom of the slopes.

Reading alot of reviews on here, there are good reviews about Iglika Palace.

Can anyone recommed a hotel with decent food and close to the slopes, either in Boro or any other resort.

Lion is nice, we've rebooked to go back there in Feb. It's about 15 mins walk to slopes, but they do have a courtesy bus throughout the day. Friends have also stayed at the Flora, they enjoyed it there and it's about as close to the gondola as you can get!! Have been told the Ela is okay too, by our Thomson rep last visit.

the ibar apartments/hotel are new this year, about 100 metres from the rila towards where the mafia palace?? is
