Ryan air are a distince possibility, landing fees would be a lot cheaper and they dont go to Sofia, and they do specialise in alternative airports!! I disagree about Pamps being the only destination, i think youll find that price will dceide that, if it costs a lot less to fly to Plovdiv people will also use it for Boro and Bansko.

I am a regular traveler to Plovdiv-lovely city and a pain in the arse to get too. (From Devon)
I was told ryan air would be flying there years ago.(by an agent!) Snowy Norms right though- The fact is lowcost carriers are struggeling at the moment and if anything trimming destinations not adding new ones. but I hope I'm wrong,

Arron, went to look at Plovdiv Airport on Saturday. It looks really impressive and just needs finishing touches and car park to be completed. Have put some pics on My Gallery (dreanas) on MyBG if you want to have a peek.

I am fine and am glad to see the back of all that rain. It was a beautiful warm sunny day today so hopefully we have finally seen an end to the "steady cyclone" of bad weather.
