Popangelov ski run closed

Hi all,

I'm a long time reader, first time poster on this forum.

I'm off to Brorovets on Saturday and like most, I am watching the weather/snow reports. I see today that the Yestrebets 2/Popangelov ski run is closed. Does anyone know why this is?

I do not know the exact cause of the closure but it could be likely that snow cover is not sufficient to operate the run. All three yastrabets runs can become quite rocky in patches below the gondola mid station level and this may be why. Perhaps someone who is out there may be able to give more information.

Might be an Avalanche risk today as it is snowing? Fraser might shed some light on it.

Ah, I didn't think about avalanche risks. Hopefully that's it rather than lack of snow

gondola wasnt running this morning, other wise no problem, the runs been fine, in fact they were race training on it the other day No chance of avalanche over there

so it's snowing in pamps then yeah?? i'm arriving on sunday . anyone who knows if it's snowing please say so ta have fun . john

John,on the web cam at the mid station today at 3.30 u.k time it was snowing hard
