This was my 7th visit to Pamporovo. I remember going the same week in 2006, that was last time until this year.
I know it was the last week for the tour operators, but was gob smacked how quiet it was. On one occassion we skied from top to bottom of the new 6 man chair lift run without seeing a single soul.

This was my 7th visit to Pamporovo. I remember going the same week in 2006, that was last time until this year.

It never snowed all week, so we skied on hard compacted snow. Perhaps a personnel prefference, but I like it like that. Factor 30 required by mid week. Lovely sun most of the week. It got warm Friday, and by the end of lunch time it was getting a bit slushy in places.
Although quiet, St. Patricks night on Wednesday went down a storm in Daks........... just for a change!! I'd like to thank the 3 Irish girls with their beer goggles for being friendly with Teddy!!
Although not in Ski School we went to the presentation on Friday....... I only went and won 1st bloody prize in the raffle ........... A snow board. Being a skier, I would have prefered the chocolate brandy. So I put the board back into the raffle and luckily it was won by a young boarder lad. My wife thought he was going to burst into tears and had to give him a mummy cuddle. We are hoping to get some new recruits together for next year, but are planning on going 5-12 March 2011. This will co-inside with the couples husbands birthday that we met from Plymostock in sunny Devon. (Never did get their names). So if you're reading this, we might well see you there next year. That's All Folks!!
