Malina Village is OK but don't expect to do any cooking as there is only one hot plate - my best bet would be to take a travel kettle for a brew in the morning and eat out as its so cheap. Hiya Loz
Malina Village is OK but don't expect to do any cooking as there is only one hot plate - my best bet would be to take a travel kettle for a brew in the morning and eat out as its so cheap. The chalets are lovely and warm - you may have to sleep with the window open - and you get clean towels every day - there is a TV but we couldn't understand Bulgarian Who wants to be a Millionnaire - there are some basic games on the tv like Tetris - be careful with the shower though there is only enough hotwater for 2 adults to have a shower or you can get away with 4 very quick showers a day and adjust the water temperature before you get in the shower cause it gets very hot !
You get the ski bus from the Yagoda village which is just across the road and it runs pretty frequently - another tip about 10.45pm there is a ski bus that goes from nr the Samokov Hotel in the middle of Borovets back to a hotel near Yagoda Village - we had a bit of an understanding if you give him 5 lev per couple he'll drop you outside Malina - cheaper than a taxi which costs about 10 lev
Best places to eat are Katys Steak House and Franco's Pizza - best place to drink is Buzz Bar when the happy hour is on 3pm to 8pm by then you'll just want to get back and sleep !
Have a good time and if you want to know anything else let me know.
