It does look close doesn't it. It was shot using a very wide angle lens, and it does make it look a lot worse than it is.
A friend of ours did a similar run in Bansko, after seeing that video, and remarked how it distorted the perspective when he watched his own run.

The thing that surprised me most about this was how quiet the runs were. I take it from the shadows it was near to the end of the day (or the very beginning), but it was still amazing free of people.
