Hi everyone,
I have been reading this forum for a couple of weeks and got some very useful information from people. I have a few questions that hopefully people will be able to help with. I am coming over with three others on 5th March staying at the Hotel Rila and can't wait. Just hoping that there will be a big dumping before we come across.
Anyway, we are coming with Crystalski and are looking for some private lessons when we get over there. We didn't arrange with them before as we are hoping of getting the lessons sorted and paid when we get there, as we already have Levs. From past experience, has anybody had isues with paying in the local currency as ski school website prices are stated in Euros?. Also, has anybody had any issues with availibility by booking at the last minute?. I have heard hunters are good to have lessons with. Are there any others people/ companies that offer private lessons that you can recommend?.
Apologies for the questions on my first post. Probably a little too excited about coming over, even though it's 4wks away!.
Hi
Hunters are a good ski school with decent hire gear- you can probably book by their website i believe- there are a few others available in resort and all take Lev!
You may wish to pre book your lift pass with Crystal though as more expensive to buy in resort.
No doubt others will give you advice!
Have a great time!
Having been skiing in borovets for the past 6 years we have approached the ski instructors many of whom will give you private lessons on a cash basis. these are generaly done once they have finished ski scool for the day. price range from 10-20 euro for a group of 4 hope that is of some help
We have already got the lift passes sorted through Crystalski. We had one of their package deals that also included carriage or hire of gear.
We have just to sort out lessons now. I think it would be better to pre-book so at least we have got it set in stone. Didn't want to get out there only to find out no one was available to take the lesson. I know a lot of people say that Hunters are good, so will probably go with them.
