Would be very pleased to hear if anyone has any experience of snowblades?
Love "trying" to Ski and am very confident on the top nursery slope but am nervous Have actually done the "Green" a few times but shake all the way down. Someone once said try "Snowblades" ) replies would be very much appreciated.
Ive never tried them either, but I saw loads of them out in Austria in 2001. They say there easier to ski on. Also better than skis when it is icy. Thats about as much as I can help you.
Give them a try. I tried them for one day in France and loved it. Easier than skiing and great fun too. Only word of caution would be that you might learn some bad habits on them if you intend to continue to learn to ski. I'm off to Borovets at the end of this month and I fully intend to have a day on blades again!
One person in our group uses them. He became an accomplished skiier first. He says that they are great fun and easier to manoevre, but if you are bombing along and need to do a nice long turn, you will have problems because you haven't got so much edge to work with. Hope that helps.
