Question for Borovets veterans

I went 8 years ago, and have a few photos of a 1 man chairlift. Was this where the 4 man Sitnyakovo Express lift is now?

Also, do they still do Ski-jumping demonstrations?

Hi ginger.

you are correct the old 1 man chair has gone and is replaced by 4 man express. The bonus with this is one you get to the top, they have made a track that brings you across through the forrest to the top of the other 4 man chair martinova baraki.

with regards to the ski jumping I think that is on a Tuesday night ski instructors night.

12 days ffelau aros ffelau aros. Very Happy

big dump arriving from Canada on the 19th.

re: Question for Borovets veterans

I think ski instructors show is on Wednesday nights now (according to 2006/07 trail map) but it wasn't on whilst i was there Sad
If you fancy a walk you can still walk to the old ski jump - although you wouldn't catch me anywhere near it with skis on!!

Thanks for the replies (or diolch to snow plough)

The first time I went on the old 1 man chairlift the bar to hold you in didn't close properly, that was fun hold on to my poles and the bar, knuckles were nearly breaking through my gloves at the top.

Have good memories of the Ski-jumping night. It was the first day of proper snowfall, a few glasses of mulled wine, walking up the steep icy steps, then a massive snowball fight on the bridge at the bottom.
