Can you arrange for a web cam image at the gondola station in the village of Bansko,so we can all see if the ski road back to the village is open .Thanks.
Maybe I can help. The short answers no, it's not open, though people have come down. If the rain we left behind is anything to go by it will be unpassable now. If you're on skis, and determined enough then you might, but you have to clear the river twice to do it (no bridges you see ol' boy) and very little snow. You might prove me wrong but my advice is don't bother.

I got stuck higher up, not entirely my fault, and for the first time in my life on a mountain started to get a little concerned (the first day). I ended up hiking 2k through 3ft deep snow, up a 45 deg bank and walking 16k (yes 16k) back to the village. No fun.
