the food is all buffet style tepid at best normally cold , sorry to offend rila lovers but it has to be said the food is normally stone cold, if they served it hot it would be fine , so best advice ,fill your plate with what ever should be hot and use one of the microwaves that are around and reheat it , then add your salads, either that or dont eat in the hotel , there are plenty of ...

re: RILA FOOD

Spent 1 week at Rila in Jan, food is O.K, in a buffet canteen sort of way, it is better than the average UK hospital by a distance, if that helps

re: RILA FOOD

we stayed at the Rila and thoroughly enjoyed the food - get there early enough and it should be warm. as for being different, yes it is - but then as we told our kids when we were there - we are in a foreign country - its going to be different. they loved the buffet style and enjoyed the food - and there are always chips if you must!

re: RILA FOOD

the food in the rila is not that bad, ithere are alot of choice and the food is not cold,
it is basic food but there is plenty of choice so i'm sure it will be better than you expect. it may not be completely warm but there is a few mircowaves you can use, the food is all the same style buffet style . From reading all the comments on this we where pleased the food was far better than what we expected we would certainly stay in the same hotel
