Does Mike F's thread qualify as the longest ever on this board? Some interesting points raised that just make me more keen to go and see for myself and make my own judgements.Cann't wait - loads of snow too Yippeeee

I think it's great to have both points of views I do think that people who aren't keen on the place tend not to come back to this site and post stuff, so gets a bit one sided quaily that Mike F's made the effort. Maybe if more people has we would have gone back to Pamps again or somewhere else and left nasty Borovets well alone !Be interested to see how you get on Mike, seems to be a big split in opinion !!

Sure does Bod, but as has been said before, no where is perfect and we have to expect something a little different whenever we go away. I think if someone doesn't like 'different' experiences, they should stay at home.We are all here because we are going or have been to BG for a great holiday and loads of skiing, opinions are great, but lets not get any further into the politics or race issues.

yeah righty ohhh.... I'm keen for experiences and have travelled a fair amount in poor contries including Bulgaria and expect the difference in culture, and enjoy that.If your going to Boro, try out the Red Dragon for Chinki - Franco's for a lively pub and 'Stereo Moura' at the bottom of the Hotel Moura, a little gem of a club with chill out DJ and 2 nice bars.

the lifts - are OK - some Qs yes - but i have been to the "posh" resorts and waited nearly as long
Snow - was good when i was there (borovets xmas) but that's pot luck where ever whenever
Condition of slops - not bad - maybe night time skiing allows - over use but snow cannons apear to be well used
as for the ladies of the night - seek and you will find !! ( as in most ...

we have to remember that this is a different country different rules apply than in the UK
fake goods - yes- as in most Sunday Markets in the UK - just cheaper !
Waiters in hotels try to rip you off - yes whops that was when i was in France !
Finally - i will say we had a good fun holiday good skiing and a very good price -- and also every one laughed with me not at me when i fell down - now you cant say that for France Italy ...........
