Rental Equipment at Hotel Samokov

Hi All,
flying out to Borovets on the 27th for our first time skiingboarding (hopefully if the snow lasts ) I was told to get my own snowboard boots to take over but have read somewhere that rental places like to use step in bindings in which case my boots will be useless. Does anyone know whether this is true and also what the equipment is like from the Samokov.

The rental gear from the samokov last year was just basic strapped bindings no step in ones. Although the rental gear is fairly naff. I had problems with my boots and bindings last year the ratchets on the bindings kept coming loose and towards the end of the week wouldnt fasten at all. Luckily ive got all my own gear for this coming year. You shouldnt have problems with your boots. The people at the samokov seem hapy enough to exchange anything that is ill fitting or faulty

Thanks was getting worried I had wasted money on my boots... If all goes well will be getting board and bindings in new year

The rental gear is just basic cheap stuff so getting your own gear would be an advantage. Just dont use all the snow as im flying out on the 3rd Jan

Thats the day we fly back

As its our first time I'm holding off on the expensive stuff. Don't worry there will be some left for you after they dig me out of the ginat snowball I'll be in!!!
