Hi Ellie, it was nice to hear from someone who remembers our name dilemma from last year!! and also someone who has shown an interest in how our venture is shaping up. I won't rattle on too much, but just try and fill you in as briefly as poss.

We finally decided on Devonshire Lodge (as we are from Devon) took some thinking up huh!!!!

Things are going very well for us and we are loving it here in Bansko. Our hotel is now up and running, it took 10 months of very hard work, a lot of sweat and a few tears! but every minute has been worth it. I wish I could give you our website address so you could see for yourself what our place now looks like, but in fairness to Mr. Bulgariaski we don't as yet pay to advertise on his site. Everyone who has stayed with us so far has commented on how comfortable they have been and have already started booking for next year. So from that point of view we consider our venture so far to be a success. From our own perspective, we manage to go boarding a few times a week (which is one of the reasons we are here), it is now the difference between going boarding because you have to (1 weeks hols) and going boarding because you want to. Long may it continue.

It was great to get your posting. I had remembered the name of your hotel but was being tactful when I wrote

Tried to locate your web site but without success - unfortunately thorws up rather a lot about the good old Masons and all the Lodges throughout Devon!!

No doubt all the hard work is beginning to pay off and it souds like you have gort off to a good start - long may it continue to be a success.
