Hi guys
Just got back, first time skiing to Borovets, thought I'd give you a report.
Stayed at Samokov Hotel, slightly dated and the food was rubbish but everything else there was fine. Location was excellent and staff very friendly. The resort isn't up to our standards, but I think we all know that before we go, but was more than adequate for the holiday. The ski instructor was really nice guy, we learn't alot in a week and the snow and runs were excellent for beginners.

The most amazing thing was that I ate and drank out twice a day for the week and had whatever I wanted and struggled to spend more than £250, which I think is amazing. Generally the Bulgarians seemed very nice people and we enjoyed the restuarants.
All in all if you go with an open mind and appreciate that their infrastructure is way behind ours, it is fantastic value for money and I'd definately go back again.
