Reporting lost or stolen in Bansko

I was pickpocketed in the pirin supermarket in Bansko, police were called and they came and told me that there was NO crime therefore cannot provide me with a report or crime number. so now it seems that i will not be able to claim on my insurance..
the police told me that if i wanted a report i must write to the judge who will then decide if an investigation is needed... this process takes at least 2 months... oh and i'm not entitled to any names or addresses of judges.

the police in bansko are probably on the take as much as the thieves. (i can't possibly imagine that what they told me is right but that is the stance that they take... they just don't want the hassle)

Corrupt and full of sh** the lot of them. The only way to get there useless fu**s to help you is to bribe them.

You do not nessesarily need a crime report number to claim on your holiday insurance, i am not aware of what you had stolen but if you explain the circumstances to your insurers regarding the polices attitude and that you could provide witness statement (supermarket assistant ??) that would normally suffice. Only problem will be when you discover that either individual items (cameras etc) or cash had not been itemised on the policy and they won't pay, insurers are bigger thieves than the ...

As for the police, agree with sentiments, but only in as far as they are no better than the UK police, they are not interested either Wink
