We are currently thinking of buying property in Bulgaria (we are arranging an independant trip next month)... we are both intermediate skiers in our early 30s- which resort would you recommend looking at (I know it is the end of the ski season) . What are some of the different characteristics of the resorts? Any-one with knowledge of reputable property agents please e-mail me...
Borovets, only 1 hour from Sofia and the skiing and nightlife is second to none.
I'm probably a bit biased as I have purchased several apartments in Borovets itself

I've been to Borovets and Bansko. Definately Bansko it has a better snow record and the development planned there is huge. For my money skiing is already better in Bansko and they are developing more runs.
Bansko has some great architecture and has good summer time activities (including horse riding and golf to name a few).

Only drawback is the transfer time but I understand that there are plans (in there infancy at the moment) to build a new airport closer to the resort and new roads are also under development.
I understand that Bansko is already slightly more expensive than Borovets though.
Re estate agents there are hundreds to choose from but I don't know which are good and which are bad.
Bansko definately,,,, its on the up and up, it will be the best place overall in a few years, at least I hope so then if I buy property in Pamps it will not be too overun:}}
Bankso is the best investment
