Hi guys,
I am off to Borovets for the 2nd time this year for another few days. I am staying at the Lodge this time.
I have been to Borovets 3 times before but never ate out in the evenings as I have been 1/2 board.
Recomendations please, I will also have my girlfriend and her 10 yr old daughter with me and she is a bit fussy with food. Not too worried about prices just a good meal.
Bobbys Bar menu caters for all, very varied. Pizzas, Full English Breakfast with English bacon and sausages, salads, garlic bread, chips, saute potato, pork steaks, chicken skewers, trout, whitebait, scampi, Kavarma (bulgarian dish), chicken livers, home made soups, kids menu, chicken or pork sach(bulgarian sizzling meat and veg), lasagne, pasta dishes ( spag bol, carbonara), etc. Prices speak to Kaz as I not sure but prices compare favourably in resort.
The White Magic opposite the hotel samokov is a great place to eat and drink. Proper home cooked food served perfectly, from toasties to steaks but try the bulgarian dishes, they are awesome.
Christo the owner and ex olympic skier and bulgarian champion and his daughter also offer great advice on the condition of the slopes and even private ski lessons.

At the other end of the scale a group on our coach had eaten in the mexican last night and the driver had to stop 4 times for people to get off and be poorly, this wasn't people who had been drinking, this was families. I didnt eat at the mexican this year but have in the past and it wasnt good, seems its still the same
