Hi all
Im off too bansko with a group of mates for the first week of feb was just wondering if anyone had any sugestions for good places to eat out?
I did go to bansko last year but due to being all inclusive we didnt eat out much im looking forward to exploring the town a bit more this year. Any sugestions on good places to eat and drink would be greatly appreciated.
Steak house in Pirin Street used to be good, especially after 8 oclock in the evening, when the doorman used to come in out of the cold and perform his Tom Jones/Elvis medley. Funny as hell. However he's moved on now.
There are loads of little Mexhanas and the touts will always try and pull you into theirs.
Try a new one each night. They're all 'of a standard'.
really good place in the main street use to be called the golden fox but had changed its name last year, do pizzas pasta ect. Good bulgarian taverner near the cross roads walking from the square you turn right the restuarant is then on your right down some stairs, the owners also have one of the places at the mid station.
A really good place is on the way into bansko not far from the big Supermarket. Basically there are 2 bridges one the main road the other up past Lucky bansko &before the Piano Bar. anyway on the Lucky bansko side of the river there is a big place on the corner huge outside & big inside with huge fire & live music every night & dancing too (by them).
One thing where ever you go ask for a "Mestika Menta" its a really good Bulgarian drink and just watch the waitress's reaction when you ...

We spent every night for a week in Mar 08 at the Friendly Bar - great food.
Mid station are some fab kebab places when you have a piste stop! Now these are not your normal kebabs, much nicer and called Kebaps. My mouth is watering already!
we had Chicken kebaps last year they were quality, with the chips in them and everything i think i might just have too have one or several of those on my first day on the slopes.
