Rhodopa House in Pamps

We arrived late sunday morning, and we had great snow, which got better on Sunday night. Moaning Andrew is moaning no more. The Hotel staff couldn't be better, the hotel bar is cheaper than the others we tried in Pamps, the rooms were brilliant, the cleaners did a brilliant job with the mess we made catching the bus rather than sorting out our stuff. There's a pool table, two log fires burning constantly, and Gi-gi the barmaid is the roll model for a barmaid in heaven.

Pete they are two hours behind when you ring home. Pamps is two hours when you ring from the UK. I was in Pamps the rellies were AT HOME IN BLIGHTY.

After the 6man lift there is a button lift, the run down is ideal for beginners as it is wide and you can stay across the slope to slow yourself at the botom.

Boarders will struggle with the button. Everyone should brake as the humps cause you to out accelerate the button at one point.

The best night we had was by the fire in the Danmar. And so cheap.

The other thing I found was the edges of my hired skis were dull and what with the ice and compacted powder I was sliding all over. They charge 5lev to wax skis but will edge their skis for free. The diference was amazing. Almost tempted me yo buy a pair knowing how much I improved with good edges.
If you smoke, Victory Blue are as close to B&H as you can get. The real B&H are available at the airport for 40L a carton but Victory Blue are 2.75 everywhere - yes thats £1.37 a pack.

We went to Plovdiv to await our late flight to Manchester: the tour of the town showed a roman ampitheatre, a few steps and a view from the hill of a typical post communist metropolis. we went shopping -shoes and leather goods were everywhere and have made great presents. Prices were great even with the pound at 2L.
