Rila Appartments to Gondola

Afternoon all.

I am off to Borovets on the 19th Feb with wife and 1 year old daughter (who we are putting in the creche during the day if anyone has got experience with creche / nannys can you let me know what they are like Smile).

How far is the Rila from the Gondola? I'm sure I read somewhere that it is only about 200m but can't remember where I read it.

Cheers people

nel

Budvegas,

That info is roughly correct. About five min walk with ski boots on!!

There are also the Chairs in front of the Rila you can get on about 100mtrs. The gondola is about 600mtrs or so perhaps more. When it's busy mainly 9-10am just as easy to use rila slopes till queues die down. Depending on how good a skier you are. Some great runs from there!!

Thanks for the replies.

One other question might sound a bit dumb. What is it like in the resort for pushchairs?

Just want to make sure I am prepared for when we arrive Smile

We put our three year old into the Snowstar kids club rung by Inghams last season. That was fantastic but unfortunately they are not running that now. Anyway on the strength of that he will be at the Rila this season and I have no resevervations whatsoever. You will find that the children are well looked after and facilities are very good. I shouldn't think that your will be leaving the resort so nothing is further than a few metres away. When my sone was two, we purchased a small sledge and put him on that. We are out same week as you.

Thanks for the info EMJAY.

I was thinking about not taking a pushchair but I think we will need it for the airport more than anything. 2 cases and 2 board bags.

Where about are you staying when you go?
