Just back from borovets stayed at Malina Village which was a mistake. We want to return to Boro next year & have thought about the rila. As we are 6, 2 Adults 4 Children we thought it would probably be best to book 1 x Studio & 1 x room
Can anyone tell me are the rooms are anywhere near the studios or are they on different sides of the hotel.
Or do you think it best if I book 2 rooms with extra beds in. As we really need the rooms to be close because of the ages of the Children
We have booked to go out in Feb there is 19 of us we have all booked studios as family of ours have stayed in the hotel and they say the studios are right next door to the hotel, the studios share 4 so you might be better to speak to the travel agent and find out about putting extra beds in the studio after all you only sleep there how old are the kids ours are between 9-11 did yours love it any problems i should know about so i can prepare myself first timer....
Hi Blondie
Kids are 5,6,11, & 16 ours loved the whole week. Although the younger ones didn't ski this was because one of them has learning difficulties & understanding English is a problem let alone English with an accent, and the two tiny ones won't be seperated, we went Bum boarding with them everyday on the bottom of the slope to the left of the Rila, and we easily filled our days eating, bum boarding, walking etc. it surprising how much there is to do if skiing becomes too much.
The Samakov hotel has bowling alley there's also ice skating the list is endless (without the usual night life that they rave about on this site.) The little ones just liked the fact that they were in the snow & 10 levs on two bum boards was money well spent,They enjoyed themselves so much they have already asked if next year they can try skiing so I'll have to dust off the old skis and take the plunge & see if I can get them up on them next year. The older ones did ski all week & they got on marvellosly thouroughly enjoyed themselves. The ski school (Borosports) gave them a great instructor Teo (don't know how his name is really spelt) the amount they learnt one more year & they'll be skiing with me.(Perhaps they can teach their Dad whilst I teach the little ones.)
This was our first year & the following year is now going to be a very long one waiting to go again.
Hope you enjoy yourselves & look forward to seeing you on the site when you get back telling us all about it.
