Rila and Samokov Hotels

Hi all,been to Borovets this year and last,both times stayed at the Rila,I have booked again for January but this time in the Samokov just for a change,am i going to be dissapointed or is it much the same.
ps.To anyone thinking about bulgaria but not sure just go for it,i skied in france for 15 years previously and will now stick to Bulgaria,the skiing is admittedly smaller but the holiday aspect is fantastic.Anyway if anyone has any experiance of both these hotels,love to here any replies ...

Samakov not quite as nice, a bit more 70's era but would go back. Still central and in a great spot, just not quite the same view as the Rila and lacking a sauna!!

We stayed at the Samakov last year. I haven't stayed at the Rila. The Rila looks a bit smarter. The Samakov is clean and friendly and everything in our room worked. The food wasn't brilliant but there was lots of choice and always something I would eat. We are planning to stay there agian this year.
