Could anyone tell me what the rila is like as staying there next week. Thanks

Been there twice. Massive great place in the best position in the resort. Right opposite nursery slopes and you can ski right to the door. Hotel is ok rooms comfortable, nice bar area, food can be a bit iffy but that is normal for hotels in Bulgarian ski resorts. Not a problem though as lots of other good places to eat.

stayed over xmas had studio over looking slopes bit noisy and bright the bars had lights on all night but not too much of a prob. food ok ate in some nights out others. bar area smokey. we had a great time would go back again. hope this helps

We stayed there last year - the rooms were basic but adequate. (Warm, clean and a soft bed!) We only ate at the hotel for breakfast - the evening meal tended to be a bit basic and tepid. To be honest, the food was so cheap in the restaurants it was easier to eat out and actually enjoy it !

Rila hotel O.K. ran out of hot water Xmas eve and New Year's eve. Food edible if repetetive, eating out is favourite, give my regards to Basil in Mamma Mias
