4 Irish lads who are in Bansko enquired about getting a trip to Pamporovo... I have taken all 4 in the last 2 seasons over to Borovets for the day, and great times were had both seasons. The original plan was to return to Boro, but due to conditions we have opted to drive over to Pamps. For us in Bansko the trip is not to bad, if we go via Gotche Delchev, Dospat, and up through Shrioka lakes, coming right into Pamps. It takes approx 2.5 hours. I have been many times in the summer, to their superb bike park, but this will be my first winter visit. Reports from my friend (Hristo Tumbev, snowboard instructor) are stating that most pistes are complete, some connecting runs are closed due to poor cover, and the off-piste is smashed. The forecast is showing a little snow on Wednesday, so im keeping my fingers crossed for a little fresh snow. We are there for 2 days so may run into (hopefully not literally) someone off the board

Hi Mark, a trip to Pamporovo from Samokov is possible but not really for only one day, it is at least 4 hours drive each way, it would work if we stayed over night.
We can get to Bansko in 2 hours so that works for one day.
Last week we went to Bansko, left early, drove up the mountain road to avoid the gondola queue and we were skiing at 08.45.
