Flying from Newcastle to Borovets on 15th February for 1 week.
1 x Dad who has only skied once 23 years ago in Austria
1x Mum who has only skied once 23 years ago in Austria and will only ski if I can find sallopettes to fit me
2 boys 14 and 16 who have never skied before
Oh, don't listen to Kiddo, who is probably mikey having a laugh.
There is an ice rink in Samokov, you can get a taxi there for 15-20 lev, and it's much cheaper to eat there than in Borovets itself. Also there is a regular bus from outside the Ela Hotel (opposite Samokov Hotel).
Also if you are self-catering the Billa supermarket in Samokov is a much better option than those in Borovets. Guess where I'll be on Monday LOL?
7 of us flying from Gatwick on 14th - mixture of boarders and skiers, ages 9 - 43, all different levels.
Staying at The Rila, hoping to have a fun time.
Flying from Manchester to Sofia, staying at the Rila.
Helen, James & Ben (9 years old), skiing in intermediate classes. Will be Ben's 4th time skiing - he'll soon be better than us! Went for last 2 years to Kopaonik in Serbia and had a great time, had booked to go back but Thomson/Crystal withdrew the resort from the brochure in July 2008 due to 'economic reasons', so thought we'd give Borovets/Bulgaria a go. Not long to go now!
Hi, I think I can remember you all from last year, did you win the quiz in Frankos? also staying in the Iglika as last year just me my wife and fourteen year old lad. Cant wait going from Manchester and hopefully the snow will be falling over there.
Can't remember the name of the bar, but we did come a close second in the quiz to a chap called Graham + his daughter + friends - was good fun. No doubt will bump into you (hopefully not literally!) at either Manchester or at ski school.
