Romania

We are thinking of going to Romania skiing. Has anyone been? And what's it like. We have been to the 3 in Bulgaria, and fancy a change. Thanks

re: Romania

Howard went to Rumania couple of years ago in january, the conditions where poor and only managed to get on one small slope which was very icy, i know we where just unlucky with conditions but the resort was very small compared to borovets and very few bars and restaurants. i would say its worth a visit but with open mind. good point was you can get a bus into city brasov which is well worth a visit and taxi back for a resonable price

Went to Poiana Brasov last New Year, yes all inclusive deal is good value but Pamps more scenic and much better for first time skiers moving up the mountain later in the week.I was quite disappointed with the ski area though to be fair snow conditions were poor
