Has any body stayed at the Royal Lodge in Pmaps. Read a couple of disturbing reports from other sites with regard to the whole experience of this hotel. Any comments would be welcome.
We just got back from there on Wednesday. We had a fab time, could not fault it. The only issue we did have they sorted it straight away e.g we had hired a privately owned apartment, when we got there none of the radiators worked and the apartment was being heated by 3 electric heaters. We were told the reason for this was there was a problem with the heating. When we told the reception staff that this was not acceptable with two small children, they moved us straight away, no fuss.

The rooms were spotless, the maid came in every day.
Only one negitive for us was the distance that it is from town. It is a long walk up quite a steep unlit hill. They do run a bus into town most evenings, it is meant to be used to go to the supermarket, as they dont have a shop at the hotel, but we just used it as a free taxi into town. We were getting a taxi home at the end of the evening and it was costing 15 leva, the taxi drivers would not move on the price how ever hard we tried lol.
The staff were very helpful ,especially the bell boy (cant think of his name, he is the one who speaks cracking English).
If you want to know anymore, just let me know.
