Ryanair to plovdiv

I have been told that from august ryanair will be flying into plovdiv does anyone know if there is there any truth in this.

Not as yet. There is quite a bit of dispute as to owns the land. There are also talks of building a new airport if it's not sorted.

As far as I understood, talks are to be finalized by Plovdiv Airport and Ryanair and the airport is able to meet Ryan requirements. Ryan have a bunch of new aircraft scheduled for delivery in the coming months and are expected to announce their new routes soon.
